The Novato Fire Training Division is dedicated to supporting the department's mission by empowering excellence and ensuring firefighter preparedness through cutting-edge training. We develop our firefighters to meet our commitment through safe, realistic fire suppression training, leadership/career development, and a relentless pursuit of excellent teamwork.

• Current up-to-date Training and Department Development
• Recruit Academy Training
• Career Development, Continuing Education, and In-Service Training
• Probationary Training Education and Evaluation
• Improve Firefighter Personnel Safety, Health, and Wellness
• Management of the Safety and R&D Committees
• Implementing Acting Engineer, Acting Captain, and Acting Battalion testing
