To Enrich the Lives of Our Communities by Harnessing the Goodwill of Our Firefighters and Those Who Support Us.

The Novato Fire Foundation, established in December 2003, operates as an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization under the guidance of a dedicated board of directors. Its inception was sparked by the generosity of Lea Eastland, a compassionate citizen who bequeathed $77,500 from her estate to benefit the Novato Fire District's emergency medical program. This generous contribution was entrusted to the newly formed Novato Fire Foundation, with specific earmarking for the acquisition of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be strategically placed in public areas across the community. Since its inception, the Foundation has grown into the community-based organization it is today.
