The fire prevention division is run by Battalion Chief-Fire Marshal, Lynne Osgood. The fire and life safety requirements of the 2022 California Fire Code are reviewed, adopted, and enforced by the fire prevention division staff of inspectors and fire prevention specialist on behalf of the Novato Fire District Board. These well-trained staff members specialize in individual areas of the fire code as it pertains to certifications and training provided by the California Office of the State Fire Marshal.
